She/Her, MA, LPC
Heather Shure
-
Heather earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas and my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver. Throughout her training and clinical experience, she has developed a special passion for supporting children and families as they navigate some of life’s more difficult moments, including grief and loss, family substance use, and anxiety. Heather’s own background allows her to bring both a developmental and compassionate perspective to her work, creating a space where children feel safe, understood, and supported.
-
Heather’s style is warm, person-centered, and grounded in meeting each client exactly where they are. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so she takes time to understand each client’s unique personality, strengths, needs, and ways of connecting. From there, she draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including play therapy, narrative therapy, and other creative and developmentally appropriate techniques. Above all, she strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, feel genuinely understood, and can explore and grow at a pace that feels right for them.
